Our softball specialists have set up the rules and regulations for the Fastpitch Tournament recognising the need for good competition, good fun and friendship on and off the diamond. The format will ensure that all teams can enjoy good games amongst people of similar skills and with the same approach to their enjoyment of the game. Rules

The emphasis at the Carnival will be on enjoyment on and off the field. Teams in both Slowpitch and Fastpitch will graded into sections depending on age, ability, fitness and competitive requirements. 

Fastpitch teams can be club and league teams through to family, work, pub, friends and social teams. Men's, women's teams are welcomed. Part teams, groups or individuals are able to be linked with similar groups to ensure that they can all enjoy the second World Vintage Softball Carnival. Umpire and supporters will be welcome to come and enjoy the fun. 

Vintage Softball and Fastpitch provides the chance for teams, players and umpires to enjoy games in the Vintage Softball style against teams from all over the world. Vintage Softball and Fastpitch is a truly international movement with Carnivals planned to be staged at some great softball destinations.

At the heart of Vintage Softball is a dedicated team of committed softball and Fastpitch people who have as their objective, the planning and organizing of regular Vintage Softball Carnivals designed for maximum enjoyment and participation of all mature softballers and Fastpitch players and supporters.

The World Vintage Softball Office

The World Vintage Softball Office is based in Auckland, New Zealand but has a truly international feel with teams in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Netherlands, France and United Kingdom, have expressed interest in being involved. The World Vintage Softball Office is available to answer queries, receive comments and listen to recommendations from all Vintage Softballers and Fastpitch players. Vintage Softball has been established by softball people for softball people and the Secretariat is available to assist with promotion of Vintage Softball and its principles.

The Vintage Softball Movement consists of teams and individuals who share a love of softball and Fastpitch. Many wish to play new teams on new diamonds and at new destinations. The rules and spirit of Vintage Softball and Fastpitch offers the opportunity to share the fun of the game with teams from all parts of the world.

The World Vintage Softball Office can organise games before and after the Carnival, can assist with travel arrangements and can organise tours to many parts of the softball world.
